The winner of CNBC Arabian Property Award in 2008, the US$ 1.3 billion Durrat Marina is destined to become the first mixed use marina development of its kind and size in the Middle East. Covering an area of 600,000 square meters, this specially designed waterfront project blends residential, commercial recreational facilities into a harmonious environment destined to be a prime example of Riviera living.
The first phase of Durrat Marina includes a gated and exclusive set of sea-facing villas and residential apartment blocks which enjoy both marina bay and sea
views. The Yacht Club is in close proximity to the residential area and represents the heart of Durrat Marina project, anchoring it with close to 200,000 square meters of marina facilities that can accommodate up to 400 berths for boats and yachts, with all the needed facilities and services.
Durrat Marina is being jointly developed by Tameer and Durrat Khaleej Al Bahrain, and is a key component of US$ 3.5 billion Durrat Al Bahrain development. Durrat Al Bahrain is a luxurious residential, commercial and family tourism project, covering 20 square kilometers, and is located on the south east coast of Bahrain. The largest project is the largest of its kind to date in the Kingdom of Bahrain, andit is a partnership between the Government of Bahrain and Kuwait Finance House.
The Durrat Al Bahrain project is close to the Bahrain International Circuit, Riffa Golf Course, Al Areen Desert Spa & Resort, and the proposed Bahrain-Qatar Friendship causeway.
